In Social Studies, we have been discussing Canadian culture and how our country is also so Multicultural. We have talked about different religions and traditions that many of our Canadians celebrate in their homes.
For our final project we are asking our students to choose their favourite Family Tradition. This tradition can take place weekly, monthly or annually, at Christmas, Easter, Birthday etc. This project will be divided into 2 parts and finally we will assess each student's oral presentation.
Tonight, your child will bring home a sheet that looks like a "idea web" to fill out to brainstorm his/her ideas about their Favourite Tradition. Please complete the form in French to the best of your knowledge. This sheet will be due this Friday, December 5. I will look over the sheet for proper spelling and sentence structure. On Monday, your child will bring back the idea web sheet and the good copy of the presentation to fill out at home. The second sheet will be due back to school Friday, December 13. We will be using all the information gathered at home to complete a little poster on your child's favourite tradition. This poster will be created here at school.
Thank you for your continued support!
